Rooftop solar power plants are increasingly gaining popularity across industrial, commercial and residential users due to their relatively lower cost of investments and lesser complexities involved in setting up a plant. These plants provide organizations with a clean energy source and reduces their dependence on fossil fuels. It also significantly reduces their electricity costs. With a typical break-even period of 4-5 years, customers can enjoy free electricity for several years from their captive rooftop plants. In addition to reduced dependence on grid power, any excess power that is generated, can be fed back into the grid by users. AutoSol successfully commissioned an 200 KW Grid Connected Solar power plant in Kabul, Afghanistan. AutoSol provided complete turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for the project. The plant will facilitate offsetting of about 250 tons of carbon emissions per year and also achieve cost savings of USD 1500 to USD 1800 per year.
